What Does Sod Installation Cost?
The useful price is the price for your finished lawn—not just the sod on a pallet. King Kutz prepares property-specific estimates for sod installation and replacement in Apopka and the surrounding service area.

Start with the lawn area, not the entire lot
For a rough estimate, split the lawn into simple rectangles. Multiply each section’s length by its width in feet, then add the areas. Subtract planting beds, patios, paths and other surfaces that will not receive sod.
For example, a 20-by-30-foot front section is 600 square feet. A separate 10-by-20-foot side section adds 200 square feet, for 800 square feet before any deductions. This is an area example, not a price quote. The final installation area and material allowance still need confirmation.

Delivery arrangements, carrying distance, narrow gates and obstacles affect how materials reach the work area.
Cutting and fitting
Beds, curved borders and small lawn sections require fitting. Compare the actual area and boundaries covered by each estimate.
Related work
Irrigation repair, planting, edging or a larger yard renovation should be identified in the scope. Do not assume they are part of the sod installation price.

- Are the timing, payment terms and any warranty terms provided in writing?
Consider whether the whole lawn needs replacing
Tell us if the damage is limited to one area. A walkthrough can help identify whether the request is a defined replacement area or a broader lawn project. Also flag why the existing grass declined; new sod alone will not resolve every irrigation, shade or soil problem.
If you plan to change beds, install pavers or repair sprinklers, mention it with the sod request. Agreeing on the work sequence helps avoid disturbing newly installed grass later.
